I was about to give up wearing this scent but picked up a bottle of the PUIG version (in a Christmas gift scent today). When I compare my watered down bottle to this latest reformulation, I can tell you that the lavender, mint, cinnamon, tonka...all there, beautifully blended (once again) and more potent.I would agree that longevity isn't as strong as it once was, but the scent itself has that familiar strength to it, and it smells wonderful. There's not much to hate here rather than the unfortunate (but bearable) reformulations that have reiterated this gem into something of an underperformer. All in all, still one of the greatest vintages of the recent past, and IMO,one of the cutest gourmand dry downs in its category.
UPDATE: Please everybody go and smell 2017 Puig Le Male. The first time a reformulation is better than the original.Yes it is a best seller at Sephora, Nordstrom since 1995 but still the most unique beautiful clean sexiest sensual sexual fragrance. Master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian hit a home run with this one, and I cannot help but praise the contemporaneity in the way the notes in JPG Le Male are crossbred to create an oozing aura packed with reminiscence, awe, and comfort.I also don't feel surprised that this perfume made it to the top as one of the best sellers in the perfume industry. The top notes are composed of mint, lavender and bergamot. The heart is composed of cinnamon, cumin, and orange blossom.
